Part one: Implants
Single tooth implants in Tacoma
One missing tooth, or one that cannot be saved. An implant replaces the root and a crown replaces what you see, without touching the teeth on either side.

Who this is for
- A gap where a tooth was taken out, or one that never came in
- A tooth that is cracked below the gum or failing after a root canal
- A bridge you would rather not have, because it means filing down two healthy teeth
- A front tooth you are tired of hiding when you smile
What happens, step by step
- Consultation and 3D scan: we look at the bone where the tooth was and tell you whether an implant suits it
- Written plan and price to take home
- Placement visit: the implant post goes in, often under numbing alone
- Healing: the bone grows around the post while you wear a temporary tooth if the gap shows
- The final crown, shaded to the teeth beside it, made in our own lab
How long it takes
Most single implants take a few months from placement to the final crown, because the bone needs time to settle around the post. Your plan gives your own dates.
What changes the price
- Whether the tooth is still there and needs taking out first
- Whether the bone needs building up (a graft) before the post goes in
- The crown material
- Whether you choose sedation
Every price is on your written plan before you decide. Cost, insurance and monthly payments
What people ask
Will it look like my own tooth?
The crown is made and shaded in our lab to sit with the teeth beside it. You see a try-in before the final one is fitted, and you can ask for changes.
Does the implant hurt?
The placement is done with numbing, and with sedation if you want it. Most patients describe the days after as sore rather than painful, and we give you written aftercare. Everyone is different, so ask us anything at the consultation.
Why not a bridge?
A bridge can be a good choice. It is quicker, but it means shaping the two teeth either side to hold it. We price both if you would like to compare.
